La hora y las fechas en inglés
Decir la hora, los días, los meses y las fechas: lo que usas cada vez que quedas con alguien.
⏱️ En 30 segundos
✅ ¿Qué hora es? = What time is it? → It's seven o'clock.
✅ past = y (7:10 = ten past seven) · to = menos (6:50 = ten to seven).
✅ Días y meses van con mayúscula: Monday, May.
✅ Las fechas usan números ordinales: the fifth of May.
🇪🇸 Cómo se dice en español
What time is it? → ¿Qué hora es?
It's half past seven → Son las siete y media
on Monday · in May · at 8 → el lunes · en mayo · a las 8
I was born on 5th May → Nací el 5 de mayo
1. Decir la hora

💡 Las dos formas son correctas. La forma digital es más fácil al principio; la británica la vas a escuchar en películas y series.
2. Días, meses y fechas
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Los días, siempre con mayúscula.
January, February, March, April, May, June
July, August, September, October, November, December.
My birthday is on the fifth of May.
Mi cumpleaños es el 5 de mayo. (se escribe 5 May o 5th May)
What's the date today? It's the twentieth of October.
¿Qué fecha es hoy? Es 20 de octubre.
3. Preguntar y quedar
What time does the class start? At seven.
¿A qué hora empieza la clase? A las siete.
See you on Monday at half past six.
Nos vemos el lunes a las seis y media.
⚠️ Errores típicos de hispanohablantes
What hour is it?
✓ What time is it?
"Qué hora" = what time.
It's the seven.
✓ It's seven o'clock.
La hora no lleva "the".
I was born in 5 of May.
✓ I was born on the 5th of May.
Fechas con on y número ordinal (5th = fifth).
