Perfect y continuous: el aspecto verbal
En C1 entendemos el "aspecto": perfect conecta dos momentos, continuous muestra algo en progreso, temporal o incompleto. Se combinan en cualquier tiempo.
⏱️ En 30 segundos
✅ Perfect (have + participio): mira hacia atrás desde un punto de referencia.
✅ Continuous (be + -ing): actividad en curso, temporal o repetida con matiz de queja.
✅ Se combinan: will have been working, had been living, must have been sleeping.
✅ El continuous suaviza peticiones: I was wondering if you could…
🇪🇸 Cómo se dice en español
In May I'll have been teaching for ten years → En mayo llevaré diez años enseñando
He's always leaving his socks on the floor → Siempre está dejando los calcetines en el suelo (queja)
You must have been dreaming → Debías de estar soñando

2. Usos con matiz
I was wondering if you could help me.
Me preguntaba si podrías ayudarme. (más cortés)
I've been reading your report. (no lo he terminado)
He estado leyendo tu informe.
I've read your report. (ya lo terminé)
He leído tu informe.
💡 Algunos verbos de estado admiten continuous con cambio de sentido: She's being difficult today (se está comportando así, es temporal).
⚠️ Errores típicos de hispanohablantes
By next year I will work here for five years.
✓ …I will have been working here for five years.
Duración hasta un punto futuro.
He always leaves the door open! (queja)
✓ He's always leaving the door open!
Queja: always + continuous.
She must sleep, she didn't answer.
✓ She must have been sleeping.
Deducción pasada en progreso.
I'm living here since 2018.
✓ I've been living here since 2018.
Since/for: perfect.
